Lacock location

Bath to Lacock is a very short hop and the village itself is a civil parish in the county of Wiltshire, England, 3 miles (5 km) from the town of Chippenham. The National Trust owns almost the entire village and attracts many visitors by virtue of its unspoiled appearance. The parish includes Bowden Hill, a small village 1 mile (1.6 km) to the east of Lacock, and the hamlet of Notton, the same distance to the northwest. Lacock is also on the door step of the Cotswolds and can easily be added to a day tour. Book a Bath to Lacock taxi tour now by calling 01225 484346 or contact us here

Bath and Stonehenge are a very short taxi journey from Lacock as well (around 45 minutes to each). Another beautiful village which is less than 20 minutes away is Castle Combe. This is essentially on your way back to Bath and is about 20 minutes from both Bath and Lacock. If you’re visiting the Abbey and museum then I would strongly recommend adding Castle Combe to your itinerary along with Stonehenge also. In terms of location, they would compliment an all-day tour from Bath to Lacock. With that in mind, you may also consider Avebury as well and possibly Salisbury Cathedral when adding Stonehenge to an all-day Bath taxi tour.

Lacock the movie set…

Lots of movies and TV shows have been filmed in the area. Some of these include the Harry Potter movies in part at least. And the fantastic beasts and where to find them sequel along with Downton Abbey the movie. Countless period dramas were filmed at Lacock due to its unique location. Some of these include Pride and Prejudice and also Crawford.
